Meet Our Chefs
Master Chef
Mr.
Chen Youyu
Our Chinese Executive Chef, Mr. Chen YouYu, first began learning the art of Hong Kong style Cantonese cuisine in 1972. After a only few years of hard work - and exceptional creativity - he was appointed Chief Chef at YiDong Hotel of Hong Kong. Mr. Chen won the Gold Award during the Hong Kong Gourmet Food Competition in the year 1983. He was appointed Executive Director of the ¡°Shu Fu Lou¡± chain of restaurants of Hong Kong in 1995. Before joining the AmbassyClub, he served as the Executive Chef of Nanning International Hotel China. He has won the Gold Award and the Silver Award at the Second Nanning Gourmet Food Competition, between 1998 and 2003.
Mr. Lang Yan Jian
Lang Yan Jian first became a chef at only sixteen years of age. Through hard work and diligence, he has become a famous chef in a mere fifteen years. During those years, however, Mr. Liang has had many distinguished chef mentors. Mr. Liang is extremely talented at the art of Dim Sum. Customers will find his new dishes creative, yet delicious. He has worked at Jiangying Fast Asia Hotel in 1995, and was Dim Sum Director at Wuhan¡¯s Hua Mei Da Hotel in 2000. He has also trained in systemic and multi-aspect cookery in Singapore. His technique is both creative and traditional, reflecting both geographical uniqueness and our historical culture. AmbassyClub was fortunate and grateful to contract him as our Dim Sum director in 2001.
